Oh…I’ll take exactly one of everything then

What’s your next thing on the hardware list?

Full steam ahead on the FreeSK8 (OSRR 1.0) Remote & Core Receiver Module, with BMS and AS trailing immediately behind that.

Wish we could have some sort of receiver that could allow different company remotes to pair to it. Imagine having one receiver for both a Bruce and an OSRR instead of having to open up the board, change the receiver, redoing a full calibration everytime you wanna change

I remember reading of a way to have a different receiver connected to each esc in a multi-esc configuration and being able to switch which esc is the master so that two remotes could be used for the same board… not exactly what you are talking about, but there are options.

that is interesting. requires more space but nonetheless

I was having wild ideas like, run ppm/uart wires to a box external to the enclosure. so receiver change could done without opening the enclosure. maybe standardize on a plug interface so all receivers coudl be be adapted to the same quick change plug. whole thing be useful even inside the enclosure. depending on how small you could make the receiver box.

a box inside the box to hold a box

me like it.

ps: trampa did something like this with their monster box. i just cant see myself paying 296cdn + shipping for a ugly box with their name on it

Printing out the cool @skate420 stl for the GPS module now since the printer has decided to cooperate or be turned off for another 2 months. Will there be a sister case for the Robogotchi itself, or should should we use a lump hammer to insert into Flasher’s design on Thingiverse? Just kidding Flasher, I suck at accuracy too, just ask my wife bahhhah

Cough drugs cough

One of them members made one. (Marky Marc!) It’s already on thingi and looks something like this…

I promise to fix my design once I have the robo in hand. On another note, there’s a good chance you’ll all be jumping for @Andrew 's design. I believe he’s finalizing some small details and will be uploading it soon.

I love me your design Marc! I feel the pain on learning cad

I’ve been at it non-stop

The thingiverse model seems to fit, any chance you could move the logo so as to include the port as well?

Once I have mine (it’s somewhere in the customs limbo), I could merge both versions (one with hole, one with logo). I just want a physical item in my hands while I iterate to be able to include all the little missing details in one go. When I start on fusion, I space out and notice it’s time to sleep around 5am

These have to be the absolute cleanest looking pieces of tech I’ve ever seen.

@Flasher

Really excellent job on the case! Thanks again for doing that. Just a few issues on mine (and idk if it’s just me), but without applying a foam padding on the left hand side, the robogotchi won’t lay flat because of the connector ports. I’m sure a little bit of sticky foam can fix that.

But I think it’s still a little too short by a mm maybe. Just barely. The pins of the screen protrude a fair bit so the case won’t sit squarely but a little bit of foam gasket should fix that as well

This is planned. I want to put a small kind of ledge on the left side to make it level. But without the robo, I couldn’t precisely design one.

Did not expect that. I will most probably create small divets in that area to allow it to sit flush. My goal is for the screen to be as close as possible to the lid for a minimal need of a gasket or silicone beading
