those gear drives… like 'em or love 'em?
Love them so unbelievably much. They are so quiet. Herringbones are my shit! I want all gear drives to be herringbone. Too bad it’s so expensive to machine.

Is there any way to support the centre?
Is there a need to?
Seems like an awful lot of leverage on the mounts
There are two ways to do so.
You can place the mounts so close that the motors touch each other and support them,
Or you can install some kind of support like the etoxx matrix2 motor protection. Just that you make the hole just as big as the motor bell.
In the picture it is just a mock up with plastic adapter. I think it should be fine with alu adapter in future.
We will see. All that is just for science anyway.
Ahh yes. If i was doing them i would definitely want them secured together in the middle. Not just resting, but actually properly bolted together. Keen to see your progress!
I was just going to ask if you could bolt them together. Is that a thing?
I don’t see why not
There are 3x M3 holes in the back of the motor.
I need to align them, but after that it should be possible to fix the motors together with some metal parts.

Something is off there.
How can your duty cycle be as high as 120%?
GOAT gives you a 25%+ boost!
There’s a duty scaling bug we’re tracking down, but your consumption would be because you’re only logging a single ESC. Check your Robogotchi configuration.
If you could export that log and send it to me on Telegram I’ll add it to the pile.
Woah Justin got 150%
Yeah as Andrew mentioned, just a bug.
Really enjoying the robo so far tho, its a winner
I think I did back when I logged it. I can resend if you don’t have it.
Agreed though, it’s a lovely platform with super easy setup.
Do I have to connect to it via bluetooth before starting my ride or can I just do it after and it will automatically log it?
Can’t tell if you’re messing with @Andrew or not. If so , bravo.
If not, no Bluetooth necessary until you want to sync the ride. It starts based on motor speed.
I wonder if Jason is going to make a new robogotchi?
Been doing it just to ensure gps is active before riding. Will test without it and see if it’s as reliable.
