I luuuurrrvvveeee that GPS placement dude looks like a fun ride
Thanks, it’s got way more torque than I need at 5.2 ratio, so going to get 9” tires and see how that tames her.
I also like your placement over the deck saver, but I didn’t want to commit to drilling a hole for the wire just yet.
I’m scared that with my placement it could accidentally get stomped. Your placement mitigates that nicely.
I didn’t think of that, so I’d be interested to hear if the placement over the deck saver has been known to get kicked/stomped.
I made a towing grab handle that uses the upper mounting holes on the Haero board and printed it in TPU. I found it works well as a wire guide for the gps.
I’ll be potting this gps with polyurethane, so that should help protect it, but still concerned about stompability.
I guess we will find out soon enough!
This is one of the coolest features
Agreed! That + the IMU power saving trickery you’ve enabled are my favorites so far.
Immediately useful!
I would have used regular pan-head screws. But whoever did this must be closer than I realize… I need a new foilhat.
You just sent me down such a deep rabbit hole. I just brought my gen 0 dreamcast back to life and was enjoying the snake mini game from trickstyle. It might be fun to do some homebrew now that it’s working again.
I am very drawn to one of those remotes. Should i worry?
778 pages… i‘m out
you should throw a fingerboard on the ceiling.
You are seriously going to try this?
Yes petg it pretty robust the pulley has 112grams of filament it appears to be pretty solid. I plan to add a gear drive to the trampa wheels eventually so it’s hard to justify $100 on metal pulleys…
It will likely be fine, there is so much surface area on a pulley that large the teeth really don’t have to be that strong. But if a rock gets trapped I’m not sure which will give the belt or the pulley.
I have esun PETG kegal pushfits pulleys on my daughters board, 300km plus and they still look fine, I have seen POM pulleys melt so may be possible to melt PETG with friction. I have a few rolls of ABS waiting on me to fit my swissmicro direct drive I may reprint it in ABS once it fit the swiss.
More like a second home. I do get unlimited access which is cool. Just bumped in to the owner skating around and he immediately knew my board was diy but not in a shitty way lol. Turns out the one other local diy esk8 guy near me just started teaching a laser cutting class there. Gonna be volunteering there asap.
Love the ergo design here, they did really nice work on this!
