Wow these look hella nice, now were just waiting on the eastwood. I’m still on the fence over the design.

Does the dong use the same power button as the Bruce?

They are the same power button, circuit board, throttle and battery even. In the on screen setup menu you pick which model shell you are using and it’ll do the rest.

ooooo cant wait to dump a fortune on this one

the one on the right is particularly interesting

Any more details on this. Same internals it looks like for all. So trigger would be 3d printed as well?

you design it as you see fit for your ideas

for instance, during the pucc contest, i made 3d printed buttons and a thumbwheel alongside my case design

some kept stock buttons and/or stock wheel for their entry, which is also totally fine

Yep; we’ll have an announcement for it pretty soon, just wanting to get our beta hardware out the door and in tester’s eager hands and then we’ll get this rolling.

The design contest rules are going to intentionally be kept pretty lax, similar to our Puck Design Contest as @poastoast mentioned. Designers can opt to use any size/style single-cell 3.7v lithium battery they want, they can use the CyberTech thumbwheel that we use or choose to design their own throttle input (0-5v ADC input). There are 2 ADC inputs available for those that want to experiment with split trigger designs (like the MTSKR20WFV2 Maytech remote). Additionally, inputs for 2 buttons on the Remote PCB in addition to the built-in mec switch & soft-start power button.

I’ll have updated 3d models posted on our github soon for those that want to take an early look at the internal electronics assembly.

Sick! Good way to test my newly purchased printer!

For the Eastwood, is the trigger attached to this thumbwheel or is the whole thumbwheel assembly replaced somehow? Looking forward to designing something for trigger remote version contest.

The most DIY of DIY remotes ever! My heart beats faster everyday waiting for this thing… so excited.

Still using the Cybertech module, but there’s a support assembly for the trigger surrounding it.

Eventually would like to replace it with our own design.

Not sure if I checked the wrong place, but I couldn’t find updated models for the Bruce with the new round window

As a general rule, I try not to publish any design source I haven’t already proven out in the real world. We’re still waiting to receive the first print batch (the Patreon Founder batch included) of the new shell designs.

After they’re tested & look good, I’ll upload them precisely whenever I get around to it.

Love your precision…

How waterproof will these be? If at all?

They’ve been uploaded. Do I take this as a “WEVE RECEIVED THE BEAUTIES” ?

I got a question…
Today I was switching my glasses for my sunnies while standing on my board (which requires two hands to hold both the glasses case and glasses).
Now on my boosted I’d just stick the remote in my pocket while standing on the board because the chance of accidentally depressing the deadman trigger switch and moving the thumbwheel at the same time in my pocket is very low.
However my VX2 doesn’t have a deadman trigger switch so I have to get off the board (or turn the remote off) rather than risk having it shoot away if I stick the remote in my pocket.
I loved the boosted feature where I could leave the thumbwheel set to my cruising speed and just let off the switch for a second to coast and when I depress the switch it resumes cruise speed.
It’s a small thing but it’s a nice little quality of life feature.
So here’s comes the obvious question…

Could there be a version of this remote that has a deadman trigger switch like the boosted did?
