So after a dream first encounter with my Robo, where it connected and set up my 4wd build it now seems to have an issue connecting.
MakerX DV4 escs
Was all good initially and did a couple of very short careful test rides. Was logging data from single esc. Changed settings to show logging from quad.
Think that may have caused the issue.??
Now when starting up it searches for CAN ids, over and over again and gets stuck.
Any ideas? Or anyone else having and issue like this?

Robo is definitely updated?
Fw5.1 is known to be bugged when it comes to quad ESC, can IDs donāt scan properly. Are you able to get back to the Robogotchi config menu to change it back to single?
This is supposed to be fixed in fw5.3 but that is still a moving target so not fully supported in FreeSK8 yet.
Itās possible to dismiss that dialog if itās getting stuck with a long press of the dialog contents.
Not sure why itās acting up though

I installed 10.2 on the 24th and now I cannot open any logs. It crashes to home screen after about 10 seconds. Any ideas?

We have been in contact directly, we just donāt have a solution yet as the issue is seemingly phone/OS related. Uninstalling/reinstalling the app seemed to fix most of the issues, but his phone is struggling to open larger logs still.
Hi all, is the new 5.3FW compatible with the robogotchi? I only ask as Iām having difficulty in changing over to new FW. Iāve tried through Vesc app and freesk8 app and it times out.
Iāve not tried to hardwire update yet, only tried over bt.
Itās not, but will be with our upcoming release (which shouldnāt be too far off, Renee already has it supported and working).
Iām not sure Iād recommend upgrading unless you have a specific reason- so far it seems there may be new bugs/regression introduced. Some of our beta testers had mixed results.
With that said we generally recommend VESC-tool be used via USB or BLE to update firmware.
Thanks for info. Itās for a dude Iām helping. He had a weird high pitch screech that threw him off on 5.2. I canāt find anything wrong with connectors, sensors phase wires, or motors. So wanted to upgrade FW to see if it helps.

What do I need to do, to use my gps module with my xenogotchi? Just change the JST connector?
This is the FreeSK8 GPS unit youāre referring to?

Hi powers to be (@Andrew i believe). Is it possible to enable the Freesk8 Robogotchi with GPS unit to be compatible with the Race Chrono App?
I have no idea what is required to do this, nor if anyone else wants it haha
Iāve been using the app to monitor time trial races. My phone GPS is too inaccurate though. The app has features to add blutooth GPS units but I cant seem to get it to see the Robogotchi GPS unit.
This might be very niche so not worth the hassle. Thought it worth asking though.

Unless the Chrono app is open source, it would require a ton of reverse engineering. And even if it was, still a lot of work to implement.
