Result :call_me_hand:

Fibreglass jacket needs a tidy up, then I’ll make a fabric cutting pattern so the dry fabric layup and slip joints are nice and consistent.

Wow. Been a while.
Had extra silicone to use.
Made a buck for top enclosure.
Different process than last time which was a bit shit in parts. Lessons learned.
Silicone done and fibreglass jacket underway :call_me_hand:
Pic dump

Top enclosure test done.
Better finish with a skin coat b but I didn’t use the right fabric for that so still had some issues w the finish. Meh. Looks ok. Might sand and paint to tidy it up at some stage.

Enclosure fixing setout and pilot holes all done. Through bolt holes done for top enclosure. A dozen more to go.

2nd testdeckile  finished up
tweaked the shape a bit
and a lil roundover on edges
a few small defects but fairly tidy
might have to make a new build soon, so i can test one of these out

Science project
5 ply deck, middle chopped and glued, to lose 105mm of length (one enclosure segment)
2 more ply layers then skin underside
Maybe glass or Cf reinforce the joint before the next ply layers… :face_with_monocle:
Hopefully doesn’t snap

What a process
Carbon skins vac bagged to top and base of the chopped and reglued 5 ply deck.
3/200gsm UD cf on the underside and 1/200 UD Cf on the top.
Extra veneer on the top and the last veneer laminating on the underside now.
Feels fairly solid :crossed_fingers:

Enclosure fits👌

Pass through plugs mounted

And small BMS looks like it will fit🤞
Vescs (2nd hand) have ridiculously short phase leads but might just work - without extra work

…aaaand
Battery and electrics are pretty much done :call_me_hand:

Skill issue with BMS Bluetooth but thats expected. All sorted by using the right app, from the BMS supplier rather than the normal one I used.

Need remote receiver and motor mounts / belts and can get her rolling. Bedliner to tidy up the enclosure finish will be the last step. Fuck yeah.
