Al's Wild World of Wallaby Wankery

Matt is good for complex curves.
Judging by your paint risers I have a clue as to why you forget how painful this process is. Use an epidural next time. Painless! :ok_hand:t2:

:ok_hand: doing some cross parts below the segment lines?

You are now lead scientist on this experiment and I will be copying you

I will 3d print the seperators for the segments, need to get the flange made first and get everything in position before i can finalisr the design on them tho

Show us ya flange :joy:

It doesnt look much different than it did last night

Been out all day, will get dusty in the morning and flash ya my flange after i tidy it up.

Tinkering with this panel mount mt60 design i made (by molesting an existing design). It seems to work as intended, just gotta design the bracket for the motor side now, that will utilise the third hole/nut on the board side and bolt both connectors together :ok_hand:

Got stuck into it early this morning.

I’ve had enough for the day. Flange still needs a couple of little spots filled and some more primer but i’m done for now.

Looks a little less ridiculous with the flange, but its still a behemoth.

Spacers printed, segments and flange had a final sand and all individually waxed.

Next step will be to stick down all the pieces to the deck, add fillets and then create a secondary flange for the mold.

Decided it would be easier to make the flange before sticking the buck down.

Wrapped board in vinyl, stuck corflute to the deck with hotglue, added a vinyl bevel from the deck to the corflute flange, and then added a silicone dam to stop the pourable silicone going too far.

:joy: Fuck it’s an elaborate process! :exploding_head:

Its all the things i’ve learned in the past 2 yrs in one big clusterfuck.

Lets hope it pays off

Before i get too carried away with the Haero, i still need to nail the vac process…

Round 3 on the flux. Hopefully the lessons learned from the last 2 fuckups can see me through this one…

Both pulls were successful enough to tell me what i needed to do with the fabric layup, so hopefully i’ve got it nailed with this one :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

Impressive that you’re light years ahead of me, yet still figuring some things out.

Always. Even when you think you’ve got something perfected, there’s always another method or way to make it better.

Right? Its mental here

Fillets done.

Flux peel plied and flow meshed, ready for a bag and infusion.

And i accidentally bought a new deck… and trucks… and wheels and bearings… :man_facepalming:

Also looks like this holes where drilled accidentally :joy:

I hope it’s just how it looks on the picture and not in real life. If not, I don’t want to know how the bearings look like :joy:

Lol plenty of decks come with multiple wheelbase positions, that’s just how it comes!

Okaaay, let me zoom into a bit more…
You don’t think it looks like there is something off? :face_with_monocle::joy:
