I have a rather flexy bustin maestro that I’m considering strengthening with a layer of woven rowing, think that’s a reasonable application for that?

In this case you’d be better off with a layer or two of carbon on the bottom of the deck. Roving is good but adds a lot of weight

True. Glass would work, but it’s hard to determine how much is needed. Same as carbon. Just gotta experiment really.

Finished the repair on this Bio enclosure. It’s now getting sent to the guy who broke it and he can sand the whole thing and paint it properly 
It’s not perfect but I did it for free

It was a big day of wallaby wankery today.
I built this board for a mate at the start of the year and the kid managed to snap it within a couple of months. It was determined to be a manufacturing defect and MBS agreed to replace the deck. They didn’t have any of the Comp 95 in stock so we paid a little extra and upgraded to the DWII.
As well as upgrading the deck, we also went ahead with upgrading(?) the mounts as well. The kid loves to do wheelies, so I’m not sure that the Radium mounts are the best choice, but Liam at Radium wants someone to hammer these mounts to see what it takes to break them i just hope the motors survive.
If the mounts do break, Liam has agreed to replace them with a beefed up ‘unbreakable’ version. So fingers crossed we see some breakage!
Still a few things to tidy up on it, need to redirect the phase wires, extend the esc power wires, get longer standoffs for the wheel pulleys and get new belts. But it’s looking good so far.

Opened up this section a tiny bit, the circlip was catching on it
I had to change the shape if the deck from last time as he still managed to get some bite from the pulley
