Awesome work dude. I would be so worried about it being out of alignment that I would likely never bother with such a task.

Oh by the way, that measurement you asked for the other day… 258mm. Bearing in mind that I have the hollow axle matrix ii trucks and the axle extensions provided by Jens

Wow that’s much :joy:
Thx for measuring.

We had a good amount of fresh powder some weeks ago on a weekend… I had this stupid idea to just make a trailer hitch… buy one of those tube sledges and have some fun towing it around…

The trailer hitch was easier to make than I thought.

The full system

That did work very well.
A bit difficult to ride circles as the sledge pulls away the back wheels, but all in all it’s really a lot of fun.

I want to install my studs again, but I guess I will need some mud guards first. Just in case one of the studs gets lose, I don’t want it to hit my girlfriend in the back

I had problems with my front lights. After maybe 1h riding they just switched off. I first thought it’s because of the esc power supply, but found out that the in-line fuse I wired between the esc and the lights triggered.
I used one of those sand filled fuses and I guess that’s not the best idea to use them if there is a lot of vibration.

For now I have some bike lights installed instead.
I have a step down converter coming as well, so either I will run the from lights from the battery direct via step down, or I will just stay with the rechargeable bike lights.

I also received my ICE puck yesterday.
Perfect fit for the winter time.

I ordered two of those new thumb wheels as well. Had a bit troubles while installing them on one remote the spring decided to have a short exploration tour… but besides this it’s a quick and easy swap and first impression is definitely a better control over the trigger.

The ICE puck as well need the popsocked mod. It’s so comfortable to not really need to „hold“ the remote. With the popsocket the remote is always fixed in your hand.

Time to build a kicker
I saved some old timber from some wooden boxes and cut them in the right shape.

Put all together

And here we go

I made it out of two pieces which will be hold together with some fat M10 or M12 bolts later.
Like this it’s more easy to store and transport.

Definitely need some improvements, but for the first kicker ever i think it doesn’t look too bad.

Not sure how I can get the kicker to the field I could try it thou
I have some ideas about adding wheels…
Still a bit time left till Spring, so I hope I can find a good transport solution till then.
