Puck, Puck, Bruce!

Did you mean middle or pointer finger hole? If so, yes, at least this mock up was to make an easy flat print surface.

Yes! This is perfect!

Sorry- yeah I meant ‘fingerhole’ not thumb.

My only thought on that is you might use a deep filet on either side of it, or even angle it a bit away from perpendicular. I found the hole on the HMP needed some adjustment like that.

adventuring.

definitely can see the value in an SLA print. my battle with supports not going too good.
still excited though.

Oof. What are you using for a slicer?

I’ve found that simplify3D still cannot be beat in its support generation.

prusaslicer

I’ve mostly avoided supports so don’t have a lot of experience messing with them.

If you’re on a Prusa, I can throw my gcode up with simplify 3d supports. Mine turned out pretty decently.

(This is not with supports hah)

The bottom shell needs a bit of adjustment for some clearance issues with the battery cable, I’ll push updated files up shortly.

hmm. looks better than mine.
looks like you printed the topcase outward side down. I so no supports above. I did the opposite. I should try that. how’d the inside of your bottom case come out?

Thank me later, they wont be the prettiest, but will come off no issue

interesting, mine was 0.2

thanks… yeah I got too clever and went for the outershell being on top. so top case opposite of your orientation.

Added a cutout here for the battery power cable as it was cutting it a bit close. Bottom model has been updated:

Going to print up this new bottom shell and then roll the dice on a set from Shapeways.

I was pretty close to jumping the gun on. you. but now you did it. I’ll see if I can make this ABS print work and try it before i do the upgrade to nylon sls.

If this one works out I’m trigger pulling a small batch asap.

This first set is coming via priority print service.

Yeah… so I think I figured out how to move the bolts to the bottom without changing the overall geometry, so I’m gonna take a crack at rev6. Why am I like this?

I’m wondering if you can load an updated .stp file… I wanna take a hack at a sliding door thingie like on the Bruce of Olde

You know… For science…

Sure thang babe. You want top & bottom shells or the base primitive model? Or all?

Too late, you get all 3:

Please note that the ‘100-primitive-rev5’ model is full original 100% scale, where the shelled/featured rev5 top/bottom files are at 91% scaling.
