There’s no hope for Bill. He’s a lost cause. A ship without a sail, a Kiwi without a sheep, an Al without a beer.
Everyone tip one out for Bill.

Oh. Forget the praise then. Burn.
Love me a beer or six
That’s one of the reasons I quit doing a bunch of drugs…prefer to spend my money on skateboards now I guess!
So just focus on one.
How soon till you’re rolling?
Ages bro. Other boards test rolling, family time and summer here mate. No rush. Haha. Getting the hangers ceracoted so that will be a while given Xmas
Gotta build a battery. Got cells. Awaiting 50mm nickel from Ali.
Gotta suss battery connectors and plugs for enclosure.
Gel coat on the way. Resin infusion test no2 to get better finish.
@glyphiks - you were right. Opened other two boxes of cells and each were short one cell for some reason. Only sent me 70, so 2 short for 12s6p. Emailed them. Should ordered extra - listen to Al!
Yeah, I have done +2 on the two orders I’ve made.
Good idea. Should have done that.
On a positive note, they look to fit in my diy enclosure, and leave some space for other stuff.
Going to get my Black Friday DV4 rolling this weekend. My original Maker-X Dual finally died after being used in 3-4 different builds and going through many firmware versions and dumb settings. Deffo got my money’s worth, though.
Can’t wait to see this quad come together.
Resin infusion test no.2 begins
Polyester Gelcoat on the mould
Biaxial fabric only, no plain cloth this time
Three layers of FG and some UD carbon on screw fixing areas for extra strength
Reduction in amount of flow mesh, cos it was a mission to de mould and infused really quickly last time.
On my extended workbench…but outside where possible
Result
Exterior could use a light sand and paint for fixing some really small finish defects but that can wait - I’m happy as is for now. Amazing how much time this has taken…
Dude. That’s pro level shit. Awesome work man.
What’s the truck setup on that dude? Looks surfy.
Real surfy. It’s pretty fun.
It’s an old Slalom truck setup I picked up off a local dude for $20 It’s a Bennet Vector front and unknown 30deg RKP rear.
Spare parts build project for my boy, who’s 5 next week, using the deck from a beat up old Powell Doughboy I had when I was a kid. It’s now shorter and narrower at 600 mm x 180mm wide. Angled corners for star wars theme - he wants Star Wars characters on top and bottom (Kyle Ren and Rey) but that’s gonna need to wait till I can find/ print some fabric. When u got those custom skins, what weight and type of fabric did you use? Polyester satin? Assume you used a local place?
Its just polyester. The brand/product name is aerocorp. Haven’t tried satin yet.
