Does anyone have an idea why my balance charger only detects 5s on everyone of my 6s packs?

idek does it stop your charging after a while and give you a vol select error?

my 6S spim08hp packs do that like 6 times per charge if I kill them to like 3.3V

Haven’t tried charging, don’t want a random fire because of this

Umm…my cells are down to 19.5 (3.25/cell)

Did I kill them?

nah try charging, my imaxb6 would just randomly stop and beep at me then I would have to restart.

Could not find much online about it just a recommendation to calibrate it.

Manual isn’t much help either

Well, here goes nothing

I think

a.) it’s guessing your S count from the total voltage of the pack. if the pack is too low guesses the next lower s count. you can then choose to charge anyway. ( which I think you’ve done. )
b.) 5mins (by default, or “check time” ) later. it will check again and if it doesn’t guess what you said it will beep and stop. this is probably the beeping @quinncfoster calls out.

From a Tenergy TB6B charger which seems to have the same workflow/firmware/screens/manual

oh yeah I forgot the solution to stop getting the error is to start charging without the balance wires, then hook them up to balance before you fully charge.

You were right.

Am I correct in having set it to 20000mah cutoff?

I think so. the mah and the timer are both safety measures to just shutoff the charger and avoid over charging.

I removed the timer. First time it cutoff after 2hrs but packs were only halfway

How do you guys ship batteries/cells? Can’t seem to get any useful info from fedex.

There isn’t a dedicated thread yet so…
Will a sim be required to use the GPS module and if so do you have an idea of compatible companies?

There is no SIM or data plan required. The GPS module provides coordinates to the Robogotchi for the log files. After your download the logs to your mobile device you can see where you were on a map using the coordinates.

Oh that’s awesome. So no plans for an anti theft option right?

Sounds dangerous, I’m in!
