dude, what happened?
100% agree. Have had some bad shoulder injuries whitewater kayaking. 15 years later I’m still dealing with shit. If I do rehab, it’s good. If not shit doesn’t work.
Pic one is 10 September 2019, remote signal interference from a 5G tower. Same happened a week before going WOT (the ESCs factory failsafe setting) downhill ending on my ass. Was rocking a GT2B with Chozen mod and high power RC ESCs. I ended up in hospital on the second occasion with 3 hematomas on my head, and to this day can’t remember the event or about 1h15m thereafter. Literally my memory starts in hospital apart from some flashes.
Pic two is 23 June 2020, voltage dropped 4V lower than “normal” right past LVC Start and LVC End in one go at 40mph / 64kph. Lost balance over the front because the complete power loss felt like someone put on the brakes unexpectedly. I was using a Hoyt Puck and dual Stormcore 100S at the time. Still don’t know definitively what caused the voltage drop. That fall caused a dislocated and fractured left shoulder which I’m still recovering from, and I just heard I’m up for the ambulance bill despite having state Medicare and private medical insurance.
Dude please do not tell any of that to the hippies on facebook, 5G is blamed for enough as-is.
Was your June crash with your battery backpack getup @malJohann?
Makes total sense though, the signal has much higher energy, is much more dense, and operates in the same frequency. I suspect both my Rx and Tx were overpowered.
Yes, and I suspect the backpack made the injury worse, so for the moment I’ve decided to discontinue pursuing that as a solution.
I totally agree that this is high-suspect on the reason if you got too close to one, they are ultra-wide band spread spectrum high-output transmitters. The only thing I ever found that gave an OSRR interference (no cutouts though) was a huge radio tower array on top of this mountain in Colorado.
5G is not however being used for mind control by lizard people as a lot of these hippy covidiots would have you believe.
Never. Trust. The. Lizard. People.
@malJohann that is a huge bummer to hear man, especially with a powerful and seemingly solid combo like the SC 100D and hoyt puck. This may be the first Hoyt puck involved accident I’ve heard of. Makes me super suspiscious of the SC…
How long were you rippin with that set-up before the accident? Are you rippin with your accident at all? I’m curious at what capacity folks with the gnarly injuries are riding stil. Heal up brother, wishing you the best and good vibes brother
Yep. Backfire Ranger X2. I would be ashamed of riding a prebuilt if that board was not so fucking fun. It seriously feels like carving a snowboard through powder. Best birthday present ive ever given myself.
Don’t be. Remember I’m a beta tester, all problems encountered so far have been addressed. I’m not at liberty to say more than that though.
About a month and a half, the fall was related to voltage drop, so power supply. I’ve got two more things to check before I make final conclusions.
Still recovering from my fracture bro. I did buy my Hummie build after the accident. Got my Knox motorcycle jacket yesterday, so soon. I’m thinking of going slower for a bit, especially going from a 165mm nummie MTB to a 110mm thane street board.
After a crash last year I implemented a speed limited mode on metr, for my commutes. Easy to switch between modes, for other rides.
Boring, but prevented the temptation to blast past all the commuters on bikes (in the bike lanes).
Helped me chill out.
Better than injury-limited mode.
Waaaaay fucking better. I haven’t skated in over two fucking months.
This is a great idea. I should do this for some of my pathway rides. It might make me less of a menace to society.
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I have a high level of confidence that when one of your menacing traits is turned down others turn up to maintain consistent volume
I remember last year when I broke my wrist longest 3 months of my life. No skating No mountain biking. Lucky my boss is a kite surfer and has had tons of injuries. I would have sacked my useless ass.
Tried new garmin app but it left a bit to be desired, this morning’s illegal ride is split
I like this idea, time to run through all my pictures, don’t have many of the old ones apart from build pictures
Second board, back in early 2016 and first time going more than a few blocks from my house if I remember correctly
Another
My frank boards on the local woods, pro tip, don’t buy these wheels
Sunset near home
At my grandma city on vacation
Another year and grandma, finished the hummie build just in time to take it with me
Who needs tire for off road?
Now with beefier motors at São Paulo to meet some awesome dudes
My small attraction to mud
eModility day at São Paulo, that I figured was happening just a few hours before
More off road on Gummies
At my favorite place testing these yummy wheels
The most important bag for the trip
First time riding on the middle of sugar cane crops on 6.5"
Again at grandmas, longest single charge ride so far with my cousin, 52 km I think
New year midnight ride testing the lights
Finally got a Trampa go places no board has gone before, but then covid happened and I’m riding just around instead of traveling with it that was my plan
These are the kind of places I need 4WD for @glyphiks
First version of the lights so I don’t have to worry with getting back before sundown
Doing a 30+km route that I always wanted but the previous boards wouldn’t handle
Testing the V2 lights so night can be turned into day
And that is it for now
Nice bro! I can’t believe the places you rode those gummies
I find that soft sand is one of the hardest terrains to conquer. Even 4wd struggles! Gear drive definitely necessary. I have snapped soooo many belts in soft sand
Speaking of crime runs I read that a girl got a huge fine for taking selfies at Waikiki beach during the stay at home orders. Can this happen to you during a esk8 ride these days?
